Aaron Paul Cuts Price on 1920s Spanish Revival With 100-Year-Old Gardens in LA to $8,195,000
“Aberdeen is a home with a deep soul,” said the Breaking Bad actor. “It was the first home built on the hillside of Los Feliz with a garden that has been maturing for over 100 years. The original finishes that make this home magic are still intact, which is a testament to how much respect all of its owners have had for this space over the years.”
Paul and his wife have re-listed the estate—historically known as the Seyler House—for $8,195,000 with Jenna Cooper of Compass. 2666 Aberdeen Ave was originally listed for $9,995,000 in 2025.
Designed in 1922 by Stiles O. Clements, architect of Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre, the 4,026-square-foot Spanish Revival sits on a terraced 1.5-acre site just below Griffith Park in Los Angeles. Its celebrity pedigree includes Tim Curry, Robert Pattinson, Noah Wyle, Oscar-winning cinematographer Robert Richardson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Jim Parsons, who sold the property to Paul in 2019 for $6.95 million.
Inside the three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath home, classic Spanish Revival details endure—arched windows, stained-glass accents, exposed beams, terracotta floors, a black-and-white tiled foyer, and hand-painted ceilings. The interiors were remodeled by Commune Design to preserve its historic character while adding modern functionality.
The main floor features a den/media room, paneled card room, en-suite guest bedroom, and an updated eat-in kitchen that opens to a private garden patio. Upstairs, the primary suite includes a balcony, a renovated period-appropriate bath, and a dressing area, while a second suite offers tranquil garden views.
The grounds are a showcase of mature landscaping and layered outdoor amenities: a freeform grottoed pool, cold plunge, amphitheater, koi pond, fire pits, multiple patios, and hidden garden paths.
Beyond this estate, Paul and Parsekian previously owned a Spanish-style West Hollywood home—located above the Sunset Strip and once owned by Brad Pitt—which they sold in 2019 for roughly $2.2 million.
The couple has consistently demonstrated impeccable taste in properties. Their Idaho retreat—featured by Architectural Digest and one of our favorite AD Open Door house tours to date—is a custom log cabin inspired by European mountain chalets, built with reclaimed Amish barnwood and centered on a monumental moss-clad hearth. That family-focused hillside getaway offers a striking counterpart to their Los Angeles estate.
