Best known for his work on the French Riviera, American architect Barry Dierks left behind one Italian masterpiece: a 1920s modernist villa with a private bay on the Ligurian coast.

Villa Le Trident was built in 1925 by the visionary American architect Barry Dierks with a landscape designed by his partner, Eric Sawyer. Known as the men who made the French Riviera chic, the couple achieved a cult status as tastemakers to the international elite on the Cote d’Azur.
